Meet Maria, she's the edgiest ex-cheerleader I know, dog mom to the Rebel, cutest french bulldog ever (photos of her to will be plentiful I promise!), and the girl can flip a house like you wouldn't believe. Seriously, her house is beautiful, proof in the photos.
Maria is is the type of gal that is friends with everyone, or she knows everyone... We were in Nashville together a while back and I think she knew at least one person everywhere we went, the group of us was cracking up. She also loves to entertain, so for her first look I wanted to pull together a quick outfit that was easy to throw on and look party ready.
For her party look I pulled a fun laser cut crop top, high waisted pleated skirt (because in your late 20's showing your midriff, even if its toned like Maria's, is a CHOICE) and a pair of fun red heels. I love this look on her because it has great movement, allows her to show off a fun pair of shoes from her extensive collection and is super easy to move around in while she's entertaining.
Fun fact: Maria and her boyfriend Cam (he's the man, everyone needs a Cam), have a great selection of bourbon at all times. Something I can very much get behind : )
I really wanted to put together a quick, casual look for Maria that was a bit softer while still in her wheelhouse. This jumpsuit was perfect for that, I love how the wrap top portion fits and flatters her while the loose wide leg bottom portion almost look like a maxi dress when standing still. So easy and polished for a quick trip to the market or a walk around her historic neighborhood.
Rebel was the official mascot for this shoot, she was very good at distracting us ;)
Now, Maria is athletic (previous college cheerleader, and she ran a half marathon last summer!), but even more than that she is #bootygoals. For her last outfit I wanted to pick something that really flattered her shape and was good for going out or a date night with her boyfriend. I chose this pleated top because I think its fresh and a great piece to pair with anything, the satin bomber jacket just screams Maria (she makes outerwear and has a great jacket section in her closet), and the high waisted black pants with the black leather booties elongate her legs.
You may have noticed a color scheme for Maria's looks, this is because she wears almost exclusively black or neutrals, so I tried to stay within that range with some fun pops of color or print. Who else has a personal color scheme they like to stick to? Do you feel like it makes it easier to get dressed? Tell me in the comments below!
