Let me introduce you to Hanna; she's often found kayaking with her husband and their pup Chip (follow his adventures @chip_the_shiba) or exploring her adorable neighborhood. I was so excited to work with Hanna because she always manages to look effortless and has a really fun personality that I couldn't wait to show off!
I saw this magnificent leather dress in her closet and immediately had to use it. I mean, this thing screams cool. I also loved that it was so easy to pair with this fun denim jacket, the polka dots add a level of casual to the edgy dress in a way that really worked for me. This just goes to show that two conversation pieces don't necessarily have to fight, you just have be mindful of mixing textures and patterns that play well together!
For this next outfit I wanted to grab her something that was more for everyday, this is something she can wear to work (thank goodness for casual dress codes!) or out to a lunch with friends. I especially loved this mustard yellow sweater on Hanna, she has incredible coloring and this jewel tone really pops on her! (Side note: if you are unsure of good colors for your skin tone try this little quiz!) The embroidered jeans and mules were just a nice touch, adding a bit of flair to the outfit while still keeping the fun laid back vibe.
One of the fun little details about this outfit is actually how it shows off a bit of Hanna, the tattoo on her neck is perfectly framed by the neckline of the sweater. I love this because her tattoo has such a fun story behind it (it's a play on her maiden name and her married name, so cute!) and this is a easy way to enjoy it!
This last outfit just screams Hanna to me, cute flowy top, black jeans and a leather jacket. Not to mention this super cute platform shoes (love those, may need to steal...:P). This is perfect for just about any occasion that isn't super formal and so easy to recreate with things already in most girls' closets.
We played with a lot of fun "extras" during Hanna's session (jackets, shoes, Chip...), what is your favorite extra to throw on when you walk out the door?
